Wealth Management Advisor / Founder Apollon New England
Torey Carr
Growing up in the small mid-coast town of Wiscasset, Maine, Torey learned early on that community and work ethic were key ingredients to success. These fundamentals have stuck with him throughout my college, professional and personal life. Torey’s entrepreneurial spirit started early; at age 10 he was fetching soccer balls on the sidelines during games and earning $3 and a halftime soda! Torey continued at Bentley College leading the service-learning department, a new program assisting individuals hoping to become citizens of the United States. Torey started his career at Edward Jones Investments in 1999 using those same skills to connect with the community in Gorham, Maine. With a desire to work within a team environment he spent 17 years at UBS Financial Services. With that same entrepreneurial drive, he and the team established Apollon New England late in the summer of 2021.
When Torey is not working with clients to help them map out their unique financial planning goals, he enjoys golfing and spending summers on Maranacook Lake with his wife Kim and their daughter Jordan. However, those who know him will attest that my true passion takes place between November and March each year as a Varsity assistant basketball coach which he has done, as a volunteer with both the boys and girls’ programs at Maranacook High School since 2012.

Justin Coffin, JD, LLM, CFP
Justin’s life and my professional career have been driven by curiosity. Engaged by political philosophy in undergraduate education and fascinated by the role of laws in shaping society, Justin attended law school and received a JD from the University of Maine School of Law. With a desire to explore as many areas of the law as possible he joined a law firm in Rockland, Maine that had been started by his grandfather and, at the time, was still run by his Uncle. Justin learned firsthand not just the theory, but the practice of real estate law, civil litigation, business law and trusts, and estate planning and administration.
Fascinated by the outsized role the tax code played in many areas of law, Justin joined a regional accounting firm and undertook to learn all that he could about tax planning through practice and academia. While managing a book of diverse business, nonprofit, and estate planning clients, he completed his studies at the BU School of Law and received and LLM in Taxation.
With a growing interest in Trusts and Estates planning, with its regular overlap with business and not-for-profit work, Justin spent a brief period working at a boutique Trusts and Estates law firm in Portland, Maine before finding his home with his current team; a place where his curiosity and interest in all things planning can find an endless array of client goals and needs to explore and cultivate critical observations and solutions.
Leaving the “wirehouse” world for more independence as a Founding Partner at Apollon New England was spurred by that same curiosity and drive to uncover and implement finely crafted planning opportunities for clients.
When he is not reading the tax code or indulging his inner nerd in a spreadsheet, you will find him with his wonderful wife and two amazing kids mucking about in nature and indulging our own curiosities about the world writ large.

Timothy Hiscock, CEPA
Being the father to a son whose status as a liver transplant recipient informed just as much of my professional life as it did my personal. Neither the obstacles of hardship nor the unknown have ever prevented me from doing what was right by my family, friends, or career. This sense of ardor and devotion is what I strive to bring to the table with my team and clients alike, always seeking to not only connect, but to collaborate, and to conquer with each and every client that I am lucky enough to engage with.
After a six year stint in the United States Navy as an electronics technician aboard the U.S.S. Philippine Sea, I sailed for uncharted territory, beginning studies at the University of Massachusetts: Amherst. Upon graduating with a degree in finance and economics I embarked upon a Wall Street career where I held positions dealing with economics and equity research on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange at firms such as J.P. Morgan and Lehman Brothers and eventually moving to an equity trading desk for hedge funds and large-scale institutions. Leaving Wall Street behind, my wife Kathleen and I decided to move our family to Maine as I made the transition to become a part of UBS Financial Services, looking to build a financial advisory practice. I remained a solo advisor for the better part of 15 years until the beginning of 2020, when I merged with the Rockland Financial Group.
My diverse and dynamic background taught me to never shy away from uncertainty, and it is with this zeal that I tackled new horizons in the form of Apollon New England in order to best serve both my team and clientele. I specialize in client/advisor relationships, focusing on long-term planning with an emphasis on asset management.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exploring Maine’s beautiful outdoors, taking advantage of Portland’s food scene, golfing, and frequenting concerts with my son, Thomas.
